David Letterman

David Michael Letterman is an American former television and radio host, comedian, writer, producer, and actor.

Letterman was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. His father, Harry Joseph Letterman , was a florist. His mother, Dorothy Marie , a church secretary, was an occasional figure on Lettermans show, usually at holidays and birthdays. His mother is of German descent, and his father had English, ScotsIrish, and German ancestry.
